I have been fortunate to have been the recipient of the following student awards:
2005 & 2006- Jason Lang Scholarship: Established in the memory of Jason Lang, a 17 year old high school student who was killed in a school shooting, and administered by Alberta Scholarship Programs. The purpose is to reward the outstanding academic achievement of Alberta post-secondary students who are continuing full-time in an undergraduate program in Alberta. Recipients are nominated on the basis of achieving a minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale in the previous academic year while maintaining enrolment in at least 80 per cent
of a full course load.
2012- Chickwagon Award: This scholarship is awarded to a Masters Student in the field of Social Work at the University of Calgary. The successful recipient of this award is a graduate student, specializing in the field of Domestic Violence.
2012- ACSW Bursary Award: The Alberta College of Social Workers established this Bursary Fund in 2004 to assist social work students in continuing their education through a college or university program. The award supports students who demonstrate their commitment to the profession of Social Work through active involvement with the community, their educational institution, and with the Alberta College of Social Workers.
